Dear Community,
As you know, we have ended our cooperation with Unibet as of 31/08/2023.
This was also a very unusual step for us, which we have only had to take once in all these years. We would like to mention once again in this article that Unibet is not a bad poker room per se and that players need not fear for their money. The Kindred Group, the company behind Unibet, is already a very big name. However, it is often the case that a big name does not automatically mean good co-operation with an affiliate.
We can only describe our own experiences and cannot speak for other affiliates. In our case, communication with the responsible affiliate manager Shaunie has been an absolute disaster for many years. Messages were simply ignored or only answered 1-2 weeks later, often not at all. For us, this is of course no basis for professional co-operation.
Another problem was the consistent problems with Unibet’s tracking links, which meant that numerous new registrations were not tracked and were simply lost. This problem has not been 100% resolved to this day and is extremely unique to Unibet.
It is also very important for us as an affiliate that communication with our partners and the reports are transparent. This was not even remotely the case at Unibet and especially with HexaPro Spin players there were very strange figures, so that players who generated thousands of dollars in rake and received perhaps 30-40% rakeback/VIP system ended up with a negative net rake, so that YPD was even deducted money. Nobody could ever really explain why this was the case.
Based on these facts, we reduced the traffic to 0 and of course avoided bringing any more new players to Unibet. Unibet’s reaction was then to cancel the agreed deal. As always, we tried to seek a dialogue to clarify these matters. But as described above, communication with the responsible affiliate manager Shaunie was not possible. The latest information was that the matter was being discussed internally and that she would be in touch. We are still waiting for this feedback today, and as several messages from our side were simply ignored and no longer answered, we had to make the decision to end the cooperation completely and ask all players to switch to another poker room.
We can’t rule out the possibility of working with Unibet and the Kindred Group again at some point. But with this affiliate manager and this kind of business behaviour, it is absolutely impossible to work together.
YPD is known for always communicating transparently and openly with our community, and this also applies in this case.
Our support team will be happy to answer any questions you may have at any time.
Best regards,
YPD Team
