The Philippine poker community unites for charity in freeroll poker tournaments.
Manila, Philippines (September 24, 2024)—GGPoker.ph, recognized as the largest poker platform globally, proudly announces its donation of 1,000,000 Philippine pesos to the Feeding Metro Manila charity following the devastation caused by Typhoon Carina. This typhoon hit Manila and surrounding areas in late July, causing severe flooding and damage.
The funds will be allocated by Feeding Metro Manila to three main initiatives: providing meals to children affected by the disaster, improving food distribution sites, and contributing to the development of a library for children in the city’s poorest neighborhoods.
GGPoker.ph organized a Charity Freeroll Series of online poker tournaments between August 10 and August 18, offering players multiple chances to compete for prizes at no cost. Participants were also encouraged to make voluntary donations to charities supporting recovery efforts from Typhoon Carina.
